Post It's a Shame...
It's a shame that this forum is here and it's not being used. As many people that I see at Harbison during the week and especially the weekend, it's hard to understand why no one uses this site. Maybe no one has anything to say, maybe that's it, who knows. Cycle Center's link takes you to an ("all states") forum, however, I think it would be wise that, since they're a local bike shop, they need to link to this site. And why not include Doug at Bike To Nature to add a link to his site? I can't speak too highly of Outspokin because of past experiences. In short, it seems like if you aren't in their little roadie group that you don't... well I'm not going to get into that. Everyone knows Harbison is THE place to go if you live in the Columbia area. I've actually talked some of my friends into trying the sport and the ones so far have absolutely loved it, which what isn't there to love about it. Anyway, I'll try my best to relay links to the forums in the best way I can.

Later.

Post Friends website, Community Forum usage
As a member of the orginal Friends working group and board member since then, I can say that forum usage reflects relative (lack of) participation by community of individual Harbison users in Friends activities (trail work, meetings, etc). Conversely, local civic/community organizations (Irmo/Lake Murray Rotary, City Year, USC) and Friends corporate members (local bike shops and other businesses) have been excellent supporters of Friends efforts, providing personnel and financial resources for our activities. Links between websites of Friends and corporate members are in the works, with each vendor logo to be included and link established as dues are brought current. It is regrettable that you have had issues with some of these local supporters of Friends as, in addition to Cycle Center, both Outspokin' and Harrell's are home to very active off-road contingents and have been active supporters of the Friends mission.
